Earlsdon Technology is playing our part in the world-wide effort to defeat COVID-19 and minimise its economic impact.
Manufacturing companies were asked to by the UK government to rapidly implement plans to reduce the risk from Covid-19 and then continue to operate throughout the lockdown. We have managed to do that successfully and in March and April, we exported £500,000 worth of machines to the USA and Mexico. In doing so, we are continuing to support our customers and helping to prevent lay-offs and redundancies in our supply-chain.
We are also part of a local consortium making 3D printed visors for front-line workers and have supplied other 3D printed parts to our local hospital.
Some of the E-tech staff are working remotely from home, in line with government advice. For the staff directly involved in the building of machines on site, we are ensuring that all team members follow safe working practices. This includes hand-sanitising stations, staggered breaks, regular hand-washing, enhanced cleaning procedures, and social distancing.
We are also using this opportunity to continue to invest in the business by developing four new industry-leading machines. Driving our own business forward and helping our customers to increase production efficiency and reduce costs in this challenging economic environment.
